Marketing Grant – Iceland Music Export Fund

ICELAND MUSIC EXPORT FUND IS TRANSITIONING TO THE NEW MUSIC FUND.

The New Music Fund takes over the role of the Export Fund to provide travel and marketing grants for music export projects.

The application deadline will be announced in April. It is no longer possible to apply for grants from this website. New Iceland Music website is on the way.

MARKETING GRANTS –

Marketing grants are so artists can carry out larger promotional campaigns in international markets.

Marketing grants:
– 250,000 ISK
– 500.000 ISK
– 1.000.000 ISK

New Music Fund will be announced in April 2024. Until then, the Marketing Grant will operate as is. It means you can submit an application for a Travel Grant in 2024 BEFORE February 1. See more about the new music fund here >>

CRITERIA

The criteria of the board is the following:

Is the project export ready?
The attached budget sheet clearly demonstrates a need for funds
- Are the expenses in the budget sheet marketing costs?
- Here is a template you can download.
Is it clear who the collaborators are and their relevance to the relevant market?
Is the marketing strategy well prepared and convincing?

Submitting a budget sheet AND a comprehensive marketing strategy is required for a valid application.

Marketing plan

In order for an application to be considered, it must be accompanied by a high-quality marketing plan that demonstrates how the support creates opportunities for the project. It is important to define a strategy for the development of the project and how the support can strengthen its image and contribute to an increase in revenue.
